I just breezed through this thread... some thoughts... 1) The TCH family is not here to bow and serve just one person, str. 2) The nicer you are, the more willing people will be to help. 3) Thanks and appreciation go a long way to getting people to help you additional times. 4) If you're really, really new to websites, why in the world are you purchasing space to develop on if you can't use much of it to its full potential, nor know how to use any of it? You obviously don't have a great deal of experience with how websites work or folders, so why on earth are you shelling out cash for this? Don't take any of my comments the wrong way. I was a website n00b once too, but I began on Geocities.

Had to reinstall XP. GAH!

Augh, don't tell me that! The last thing I want to do is reinstall WinXP, it took me forever getting this computer back from motherboard death to being a viable computer! Maybe reinstalling SP1a will work... Beh. I'm looking into it tonight, I'll give you guys an update later on.

Wow ds... Lots of information for everybody!

Watch out for a purported Microsoft email going around that has an EXE and links in it. it's got that Swen virus, I think... All I know is Norton picked it up. This is a good thread to remind people that if you get an email from a service you are in and are not 100% completely absolutely without-a-doubt sure that it is legitimate, go to the service's website.

For an example: http://forum.eclipseprime.com/ Yes, indeed you can do everything on a subdomain that you can do on a regular one. A subdomain is actually just a folder under the root directory, then when the subdomain is accessed, the server knows that it is a folder under the root. Enjoy PHPing in subdirectories!

I like it. Looks more professional. Makes me feel like I'm paying more than I really am, haha...

No. There is no way to keep a virus from spoofing itself as your account. This happened to me as well. Basically, the virus gets itself onto a computer and picks an address stored on that computer at random to spoof as. What probably happened to you (And me, and everybody else in the world) is that the virus got onto the machine of someone you had emailed in the past. The virus picked your email at random to spoof as, then sent itself out to other addresses stored on that machine using your address as the spoof.

That didn't work. Perhaps I should add in the information that the dialog box never comes up. It asks if I want to add files so it will work, but after adding the files, the dialog box never pops up like it's supposed to (It does at my work).

I've got a friend's computer running WinXP, and the Network Setup Wizard is missing. How do I get it back?

Multiple servers for me...

Actually, the most recent time this happened to me was in a new browser-based game I'm building... Nothing in my game is built upon forums except for the Forums (phpBB), but the MYI error happened on a table I built myself...
-
Very nice stuff, it showcases the best parts of TCH. I am impressed, nice job!

Occasionally, I'll get an MYI error in MySQL for a couple of websites I operate. It says that it cannot open the MYI file. I know that to fix this I Have to go to Repair Table in phpMyAdmin, but sometimes I'll lose a table row that way: That sucks if you've got all-important information in a table! I was wondering how this happens and what you can do to avert it.

"HotLink Protection" in CPanel on the right side.

K. Thanks for the update Bill.

Thanks for the input! I'll be asking to have Eclipse Prime added when it gets into public playing.
