I post daily and they are usually short. Sometimes rants, sometimes about new technology that interests me and others just plain BS. If you want visitors just post your blog address and we'll come by for a visit.

You can create disposible email accounts with an email forward in cpanel. You just create the email forward for anything you want and have it direct the mail to a real account. When you are done with it delete the forward. No more mail.

If you are trying to open PHP files on your computer they will not display without have a web server and PHP service running on your computer. PHP files are processed by a server to display them in your browser. You can install a web server with PHP by getting a copy of Xammp or Xammp lite. www.apachefriends.org/en/

That is up to cPanel to update. Much discussion has been had on the forum about updating scripts. You should go to the www.phpbb.com site and download the update you need and manually install it. Going to the source will insure you have the most up to date version of the scripts. Also you might want to subscribe to the Security forum to recieve notices. Thomas posted about the phpBB not to long ago.

The one in cPanel? That may be a bug but it would be up to cPanel to address and not a TCH issue. I would recommend that you do your submissions manually. There are submission softwares out there but IMO they are not worth the trouble of using.

fopen is supported. As for unlimited domains, you can host as many domains as you wish as long as they do not exceed your reseller account space and bandwidth.

I am not sure if not having a domain name is the problem but my guess would be that it is. You can open a ticket with the help desk to confirm. Link at top of page.

D.J. thanks for the great comments. I too was skeptical when I frist came here. And look, 3 years later I'm still here! And I went through a whole lot more hosts than you did in a 10 year span.

Welcome to the forums jaime Couple of things. You signed up yesterday, has your domain name propogated yet? Since you didn't list it we have no way to tell. The db name should be yourcpanelname_databasename The user should be yourcpanelname_username Did you add the user to the database? Most often missed step.
