    Get yourself the Spam Karma 2 plugin and install it. It will protect you from comment and trackback spam. And there is no need to change any of the permissions on any of the files if you do a standard installation.

  15. Welcome to the forums Aahsch You should be looking at a content management system. No need to reinvent the wheel. There are plenty already made, several included in Fantastico found in cPanel. Check out Open Source CMS where you can try demos of various CMS packages.
  16. This should serve as a reminder to others. If you installed something through cPanel or manually and are no longer using it make sure it is deleted from your account. And be sure to remove the associated database if it has one.
