  1. Welcome to the forum Poolmeister
  2. 1. seems reasonable 2. I would not allow my wp-content folder to be set to 777 so I won't be using that unless that changes (just asking for trouble) 3. no issue there, don't use that plugin Thanks for the update

  4. Welcome to the forums cofphoto No, there is no default form handling script included in any of the plans but if you have a copy of your site and the forms.cgi script you should be able to upload it to your cgi-bin folder here and use it. Otherwise you will have to find a form handling script (make sure it's a secure script). Good place to start looking is hotscripts.com
  5. Let us know what you find out. I use Firefox for my browser and FireFTP plugin for FTP. So it's not like I have to start another application to upload any files.
  6. Just the X themes are available on a reseller plan. On a dedicated server you could install others.

  8. I haven't played with it but does it log you in to do the uploads? If not you are going to have to set your upload folder to 777 for the server to write the files to the folder.
  9. Welcome to the forums mistahp You might want to open a ticket with the help desks where one of the techs can determine if it is a server configuration or not. Link at top of this page or in my signature. I don't use the file uploader built into WordPress, I prefer to FTP my files up.
  10. All the blogs I administer have been updated. Only have one with an issue. Clicking links using the Now Reading plugin are reporting a 404 error. Not sure what is causing that. I haven't updated the .htaccess yet, so that may resolve that issue.
  11. Yes, but not for a while. It was just released a couple of days ago. Doubt it will be in Fantastico for a couple of weeks. I could be wrong but doubt it.

  13. Maybe Designing a WordPress Theme From Scratch post at Lorelle's site would be a good starting place.
  14. You install the theme files in the wp-content/themes folder. Each theme has it's own folder and the folder name is usually the theme name. You can upload the .zip file of the theme to the wp-content/theme folder and use the File Manager to extract it. Or extract the .zip file on your PC and upload the entire theme folder to wp-content You set which theme you are going to use in the administration panel.

  17. Have to find something to keep me busy. Updates is not my favorite thing to do though.
  18. I updated another test blog today and it is working just fine. Guess I will update all my other blogs tomorrow. And for the first time with a major update this one didn't break my theme! I don't like the new admin interface but it's just because I'm not used to it yet.

  20. I will update another test blog tomorrow. If all goes well I will go live on my other sites on Monday.
  21. Backup first! I was upgrading a test blog and didn't back up first. I deleted my themes and plugins by mistake. Had to get Andy to restore them for me. I have upgraded a test blog and so far it's working fine. One new feature I like is the ability to a update plugin by clicking a link. You provide an FTP login and it downloads, extracts and installs it for you.
  22. That is an error when one mail server isn't able to route mail to another, and gives up after trying for a certain, predefined amount of time. This happens fairly frequently, sometimes with comcast, sometimes other ISPs as well. Doubtful anyone in the forums will be able to help with this issue.

  24. Amazing! Played 9 holes Wednesday, first time out since November and shot 46. I was happy.
