There are many people on shared servers accepting payments. That was the point I was trying to make. There are other carts besides Zencart. And a lot of people with small commerce sites use PayPal. So saying that if you are looking for a low-cost hosting company to do ecommerce to look elsewhere in my opinion is ridiculous. Sorry if you took it any other way.

Best thing you can do is change your email address. Second in cPanel make sure you have your default :fail:

I have never set up a shopping cart so I can't comment on which is easiest to use. If you are just looking for a way to accept payments maybe you should give PayPal a try.

What do you mean by link directory? You can create a web page with links. If you are talking about database driven then head over to hotscripts.com, you should be able to find something there. Be warned if you are going to let people add links to the page you are going to have to watch it carefully as spammers will insert links into it and you'll end up with a bunch of links you do not want.
