So... I don't see any information re: gmail accounts being checked for viruses like hotmail and some other online email. Am I missing something? How do you protect this account? (using free AVG antivirus software) -Samantha

I was given a Dr Pepper by a co-worker for having resolved a long-standing "great taste, less filling" type competition! Every time the slogan was used in the office (many times a week!) it caused a few rounds of Prego/Ragu comments from several people. It actually could sometimes lead to irritation and hard feeling at being considered wrong...some folks are NEVER wrong you know. Others like me often are but when we are right, it is such a surprise and pleasure. By having the final answer (woooot I got it right for once!) settled the issue, especially with the image of the advertisement! Peace again reigns until the next product advertisement war. -Samantha

Wonderful news. Thumbs Up GLad you and your family are safe and had far less damage than what has been shown for your area! IRONIC TWIST: Ivan was supposed to hit the peninsula of Florida and instead turned to hit the panhandle, went northeast and swung in a large arc in the Atlantic.... Last night and today CENTRAL FLORIDA is being covered with rain storms and gusty winds. Our local meteorologist tell us the storms are actually the REMNANT OF IVAN crossing the state. Yuck! If it stays together by the time it gets to the gulf they say it has the potential to rebuild! First time ever a storm could strike twice! WACKY WEATHER PATTERN -Samantha

WOW. Ivan WAS terrible! The devastation was dramatic and horrific! The images from the FL panhandle and Alabama are so depressing. People that are unaccounted for, the flooding, even the major highway I-10 is closed because part of the road is GONE. It will take a LONG time for folks to recover in that area. Tropical Storm Jeanne is wandering around in the Atlantic. It may or may not be a hurricane when it decides to make landfall (on our east coast). Thankfully, it will just be a yucky rain storm. -Samantha

whoops! Thanks for this thread! Thanks for the heads up on pm's. I so rarely get them I don't remember to look for them! I don't have it set for popup or email so I thought I had to go to my control center to find messages. Thanks for reminding me to look UP above the forum... I have some messages I didn't know I had!!! Better go look. -Samantha

Well, Ivan hit mobile as a major storm and it's now coming inland. The images really look rough. I hope that it is similar to charley that it moves quickly with very few tornados.... -Samantha

With as wide as the storm is, there will be several states along the gulf impacted. And most of that area is just close to sea level and won't take much rain to flood. I hope that all the TCH customers in that area have evacuated to safer, higher ground if necessary. STEVE, Curtis stay in touch and let us know how you are when you can. An additional sad thing for the economy: besides the damage to homes and property, important sea life beds will be devastated in that crook of the gulf. It will cause many of the fishermen to have difficulties for quite some time to come! Apalachicola area finally got the shrimp beds fully recovered and now they will be smashed again! Take it easy folks. Be safe. Be careful. Our thoughts and prayers are with you! We have another storm heading toward Florida (JEANNE) but at least she has a pretty decent probability of turning out away from the coast before striking. Then we just need to watch to see if she ends up in South or North Carolina. -Samantha

Twice today you have come to my aid! Thank you! I had done searches on advertising slogans, for ragu and prego but could find nothing to confirm the slogan. Really appreciate the image. Thumbs Up -Samantha

THIS WORKED WORKED PERFECTLY!!! I had 4 unknown items, and none of them had dates. Thank you for taking time to post! The problem is resolved. Thumbs Up Oh by the way, Andy I use Zone Alarm on my home machine, not the office pc. We have a hardware firewall. I could see GIF images, ads, banners and everything else. I just could not save them as anything other than bmp images. But I do appreciate your input and made a note of your post for future reference at home! -Samantha

Thanks for responding and moving to proper forum area. Unfortunately, I still have the problem and your workarounds did not work. Tried saving the file and it does come in as a bmp from IE Irfanview opens as a bmp image, so I closed it. Renamed it as .gif and tried to open with irfanview and got an error message that "image is bmp format named improperly... change file extension?" I used to be able to just save as whatever the file really is, not automatically as a bmp format from my IE browser. Doesn't seem to be a good reason why I can't now. I use IE at work because some of the sites I must use throughout the day do not work properly in Firefox. Besides other reasons, we must get quotes from several freight carriers and the only browser that currently works with their sites is IE so I would be switching back and forth all the time. Not worth the effort most of the time. -Samantha

Until this past week, if I wanted to capture an image from a free gif site, I could just right click and save picture as. SIMPLE, EASY. BUT something has changed and I don't know where or what or why. This is driving me crazy! When I right click now and choose save picture as, the ONLY choice I am given is BMP format. PERIOD. All the other options (JPG, GIF, etc are GONE!) For example, on this page: h**p://fla.fg-a.com/flags1a.htm there is a waving flag image that I have captured before. If I try to capture the same image (or any other on the page) I am only offered a BMP format. WHY????? I use Irfanview for viewing image files (file association set to images only currently) and have PSP8 for image editing. Both have been set that way for MONTHS. Have loaded no new software, made no changes to my Internet Explorer options. The only new thing I have done in the past couple weeks is to unplug the computer for the hurricanes, which would not have changed any settings. I use IE on my work machine most often. The problem only appears when I use IE (6.02) so the problem definitely is IE related in some way. When I use Mozilla FIREFOX, I have the appropriate file format appear (if image is gif, it tries to save the image as a gif, if image is jpg browser tries to save as a jpg). Thanks for any assistance here. -Samantha

Steve..... I was praying and asking others to mentally move the storm out of central florida's path, then we got into blowing contest for moving the storm and so far the peninsula of florida seems to have the hot air to do so, blowing it to the west. Guess we have to modify the prayers again and ask for Ivan to be lessened in strength and/or break up somewhat so the impact will not be as devastating. Thoughts and prayers to you and yours. Still time for Ivan to change paths, and intensity. BAD STORM! THIN OUT AND BREAK UP IVAN!!! -Samantha
