chessassistance Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Hi all, I've put together a flash tutorial, and have put it up on my site. However, I've noticed that when I play it back on my machine, the following happens: Frame 1 loads, plays back. Screen goes blank Frame 2 loads, starts playback from begining (i.e. with frame 1). Screen goes blank Frame 3 loads, starts playback from begining (i.e. with frame 1). The tutorial is located at: http://www.chessassistance.com/downloads/f...ion_dialog.html So every time a new frame loads, playback restarts from beginning. This turns a five minute tutorial into something like a 1/2 hour tutorial. Does anyone have a suggestion for how I can fix this? Is it a browser problem (IE 6), server problem, flash problem, authoring, or connection problem? Thanks, Bob Quote
TCH-Dick Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 It played fine for me. Maybe it is a problem with your machine? Quote
LisaJill Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 It played uh, mostly fine for me. Everytime the speaker paused I had to click 'forward' . It did not seem to want to advance on it's own. However, I experienced no blank outs or restarts. This was in firefox too, if that makes a difference. =) Quote
TCH-Rob Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 I have no sound but it played for me, a bit slow though. Quote
chessassistance Posted April 25, 2004 Author Posted April 25, 2004 Hi, The demo plays fine when I preview it locally. Then for some reason, after it is uploaded, I get the problem where it restarts on every frame... Bob Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 In firefox it was smooth, but IE a little jerky. Not bad for more than 3 megs. Quote
