webgyrl Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Sadly, I had to uninstall Dreamweaver MX as my processor just couldn't handle it. I have a 550MHZ and it requires at least 600 to run properly. I was just learning to play around with CSS via the DW MX CSS editing capabilities. I really want to use CSS, but I am so clueless and haven't really gotten thru the books yet. I found a program called Morphon CSS Editor and was wondering if anyone here has used it with any success. You can check it out here: www.morphon.com Nat Quote
DarqFlare Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Nope, never used it... I hard-code everything. Quote
webgyrl Posted April 10, 2004 Author Posted April 10, 2004 I know, I know... Nat... learn hard coding. After I get the database stuff, i gotta tackle CSS! Quote
btrfld Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Hi Nat. I use TopStyle, and I love it. It was written by the person who created HomeSite (before Macromedia bought it). I got used to it with the Lite version that came with HomeSite, and quickly sprang for the Pro version. Now I use it for pretty much everything: HTML, CSS, PHP, etc. The only thing I use Dreamweaver for anymore is the FTP upload and synchronization. And by the way, it will teach you hard-coding. Download the free trial version, and then if you don't like it, nothing lost. Thumbs Up Jim Quote
Deverill Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Nat, Homesite comes with MX. Try installing just that and see if it helps. It's still pretty much hand coding but it's better than nothing and you already have it. Quote
