Malcolmd Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Hi, I'm planning to join up soon and move my site from another host. 1. How will I be able to access my new tch site before the domain is transferred? Is there an alternate name like myname.totalchoice.com that I can use? 2. My current site is hosted by your-site.com, and registered by them with tucows. They automatically renew the domain every year... if I transfer the domain, does TCH then able to do automatic renewal? And a minor point, but... 3. When I sign up, can I pay all at once for hosting and domain transfer, but have the transfer be delayed until I get my new site ready? (If not, and I have to just pay separately at that time,no big deal). Thanks, Malcolm P.S. TCH may want to put a note on their cpanel demo page about the demo currently being down. I know the demo is not under your control, but it looks bad to potential customers who try it, and don't bother actually going to cpanel.com to see the note there. To them it just looks like TCH is messed up. Quote

TCH-Don Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 (edited) Hi Malcolmd, in your welcome e-mail you will get the information on connecting to your web space using IP://~username and how to set up your ftp before changing your DNS Yes you can have your domain name auto renew here. I believe you have to ask about the one fee for both account and transfer. cpanel has been promising the new demo to be back up, for a while. I hope they get it working soon. Bunni Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 therfore we are unabel to control or maintain the quality of the server or its uptime. Much better, HG, but unabel should be unable....... Quote
youneverknow Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Thanks sooo much HG...I would not want to have prospective customers think that TCH is in anyway hosting the cpanel demo. Rock Sign youneverknow Quote
