I opened a help desk ticket and then I got a reply that the ticket was closed. uh? So, sure enough I rechecked my site and it was fine. Im not sure what to make of it. I travel every day so I seriously doubt that my "route to host" is the problem. Anyway see if you can load the site. Thanks guys
TCH-Rick Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 I answered your Help Desk ticket within minutes of it being submitted. I logged into the server, loads were under 1. I viewed your site and it loaded quickly. I looked for previous tickets to see if there was a previous problem and found nothing. I did nothing else to correct the problem. You can think whatever you wish but anyone who reads these forums will realise that when something is wrong we don't hide the fact. If a site is slow for a week we need to know about it and the Help Desk is the best place. I always go back and look for previous tickets. When a pattern develops we can usually track down the error. After I closed your ticket I left the server monitoring up and continues to watch off and on. The load jumped some so I looked at some logs and saw one site that looked like it may be causing some slowdown, certainly nothing like the ones I just saw on 29. I suspended the site and the loads dropped back below 1 and all sites I have looked at on 50 are very fast. Routing problems from the ISP are common and the most usual problem we see with sites seeming slow. As for the ticket being closed, uh. We close all tickets when we respond so that when they are reopened we can see it quickly and they don't get lost on the Help Desk.
