Basically I need to know what I put at the top for some of my pearl scripts.. basically if i were to run the whereis pearl in unix? anyone know?

You can use either /usr/bin/ or /usr/local/bin/. There is detailed information on the perl mods installed and locations of common programs on the left side when you log into your CPanel.
