Do link titles help your keyword density? I really never thought about using them until now.

It does give you a chance to get a few more keyword uses in there. I'd agree with that much of it.

The title of a link is called the 'link text' and it (along with the flanking text) plays a major role in identifying the content of the link. Actually, link text is the most important. The more relevant the link content is to the corresponding page, the more value that particular link has as a legitimate citation to that page.

 

Individuals have exploited this by performing 'Google Bombing' the most famous case being 'Miserable Failure'.

 

Bottom line, always use relevant phrase within link text (i.e. don't use 'click here').
