DarqFlare Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Assuming that your domain is hosted here at TCH, you do not need to set anything at your registrar aside from the DNS. You don't need to set mail. Your DNS should be set to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com TCH's servers handle the mail. Quote
James281 Posted March 15, 2004 Author Posted March 15, 2004 i understand that, but unfortunately as you can see i don't have my domain with tch, and this is why i ask this question. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 I'm not exactly sure what you mean by not having the domain here. Do you have a hosting account with us and just mean that the domain is not registered with us or do you mean that you do not have either an account or domain registration with us? In the first case, if you have an account with us with the domain registered elsewhere you should be able to change the nameservers with the domain registrar to point to the account here. If you do not have a hosting account with us we really cannot provide support for the problem as it would depend on how the other host is set up with their email server. Quote
James281 Posted March 15, 2004 Author Posted March 15, 2004 my server is TCH server57 and i was just asking a random question about the email problem though my register.. nothing to do with the server i don't think. the domain were bought through registerfly.com for some reason www.cpdhouston.com is not working and http://cpdhouston.com is working.. MikeJ Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 It looks like you just recently changed the DNS server entries for your domain. Those changes appear to still be taking effect, so you may just have to wait another day or so for everything to straighten itself out. Quote
