Guest David Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Hi all - I'm checking out TCH, and am impressed by the level of "community" here. I am thinking about switching my business' website to TCH for hosting, but I have a few questions/concerns that I need to have cleared up first. I see where Agora and Interchange, both open source based systems, are what TCH offers for e-commerce to its members; however, I was just at the Interchange page, where they have posted an open letter disavowing any involvement with cPanel due to lack of support and proper product knowledege. It seems like a pretty big disconnect! Can someone address this issue for me? For that matter, what level of support is offered for either Interchange or Agora? I know nothing of these programs (my current provider offers Miva Merchant), and frankly have never used e-commerce software; however, my business is now at the point where we need to be able to conduct online order processing of some sort. I am REALLY disappointed with my current provider, and would like to move somewhere that people actually practice customer service as a true service, rather than a right that has to be earned or fought for (I get the impression, thus far, that wouldn't be a problem here!). I also need to be somewhere where I have adequate levels of support -- I know a fair amount, but really only enough to be dangerous!! Therefore, having someone to be able to guide me through setting up a more robust online offering would be of great benefit. Any thoughts or comments to help me in my decision-making process? Thanks in advance for the help! David Quote
Guest David Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Sorry, I forgot to put in the webpage for the letter I was referencing. It is: http://www.icdevgroup.org/i/dev/cpanel.htm...tml?id=tvpTZTdg Hope that helps, at least for information purposes. Quote

Guest Guest Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Wow, I was chatting with the Head Guru?!?! If I had known, I would've been more polite! Seriously, thanks for your help and patience while answering my questions. When it's one's business, there tends to be more trepidation, especially when there is a lack of technical proficiency. You were great! David Quote
