TCH-Rob Posted February 23, 2004 Author Posted February 23, 2004 I guess my first post needs some explanation. I wanted to calm down a bit before I maybe flew off the handle. We went yesterday to go look into getting a salt tank for the house. I have had fish before and thought the kids would like a "Nemo" tank. I thought we could get the tank, accessories and start getting things set up to get some live rock and start cycling the tank. We went to the store and for a few minutes and decided to get a bite to eat and talk it over. When we got to the car my daughter asked what happened to mommy's window. Nice big hole in it and mommy's purse was gone. Now, because I am not working, I decided 3 weeks ago to drop full coverage on our car insurance. Doing so removed our glass coverage as well. Now instead of getting a tank, I am out $200 getting a new side window. Quote
ThumpAZ Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Ouch... that has got to be a pain in the rear. Sorry bout the breakin. And I thought I was having a bad weekend... Went to go out in the Jeep yesterday AM. Beautiful day in AZ, top off weather for sure... the trails were a callin'!! Let it get all warmed up, climb in, harnessed in push the brake and go to shift into gear. Brake pedal goes to the floor... shift gear... HUH!!! Pedal on the floor?!?! Rolling backwards under power?!?! Pump the pedal like a punching bag and it still hits the floor every time!!! ARRRRGH!!! Threw it in Neutral and killed the engine. Now the Jeep is sitting in the middle of my street and nearly hitting my neighbor's car braodside. Still not sure why my master cylinder is empty since there is no evidence of leakage or foul play to the hoses. Oh well... pushed up the axle swap by a few months. Glad neither of us was hurt or caused undue damage to others (even though you are entitled to it). -GG Quote
