When I "Save Image As" and download it to my hard drive, the animation works fine and keeps repeating.

Then its even more weird, cause it is not repeating/moving either here or on my server. B)

When I viewed it in my browser, it cycled through once and stopped...

I don't have much experience with GIF files, as I've only made them using Paint Shop Pro, and it had an option to loop them forever...

Hm... It must be the little guy inside the computer doing this.

I mean if it works in my acdsee, animation shop and in Richards CompuPic it should work on the net. Also, I made no difference in making this than any other gif i have done. There is not so many gifs on my site but one i have done is the spinning s (and logo) on Liannas site. And that one is made exact same way, just a different effect.

Thomas, I opened your animated GIF with The Gimp (Linux's Photoshop) and saved it again, making sure that the "loop forever" option was checked. Have you checked that when you created the animated GIF? It works on my computer, now.

I didn't read far enough down in the forum to see that TCH-Raul had already modified the gif to loop indefinitely. I guess in my over exuberance to fix something, I just jumped on it, so I ended up doing the same thing!

Anyway, when I opened the graphic in my Animation Shop program, the properties showed it to only loop once.

Hm, sorry guys. I missed that setting since i had never had to change it before due to some magical thing, dont ask me why.

Still what i dont understand is why it loops continuosly in acdsee and other programs but not on the net?

Thomas, perhaps ACDSee has some option for looping animated gifs forever, even though they're supposed to play just once... :goof:
