Deverill
Kussie, I'm sorry to have to delete your post but the forum guidelines state "Family Members may not use the Forum for commercial gain. " Since your script is for-fee, promoting it is considered commercial gain.
kussie
No it's for free. There is just the option of buying it if you want to help support future scripts (much like a donation system). But it is still a free download and unlimited use and absolutly no difference between them
kussie
There we go completely removed the licence options and such. So it is no longer a commercial gain script Instead there is just some basic additional services that can be purchased (like custom installs and such). Does that mean i can advertise it now? Deverill
As long as the post is not an advertisement then you are free to do so. We need to protect our family from those who would plaster ads in these forums and unfortunately we occasionally have to limit even family members. If your script is free and can be helpful to someone then by all means repost it. Thanks for clearing up the licensing/purchase issues. Thumbs Up
kussie
hehe no probs. This has been a little something i have been working on for ages i think it makes news updating on websites a whole bunch easier. Btw the website for my site is http://studio.kreative-studios.com And i am always accepting comments on the script (wether good or bad)
surefire
This is off topic, but I wanted to let you know that 1- your site looks beautiful (in IE) 2- it breaks very badly in Mozilla (Firebird)
stevevan
Looks ok in Mozilla 1.6 on RH Linux.
kussie
hhhmm i could have sworn i fixed the problems in firebird i will have to look into it. Could you show me a screenie of what the problem looks like? I'm a bit lazy at the moment
TCH-Bruce
Here's a screenshot from Firebird on Win98. I just see the yellow bar in the header extending to far to the right.
surefire
OK... I have more info for you... Firebird wth bookmarks open on left hand side... I'm sure you guys are rolling your eyes at me. Pretty much everyone uses ie so I wouldn't sweat it, but here's what it looks like to me.
MikeJ
Not everyone though. Since we're on the topic... minor, but the side columns don't extend down in Safari, which is the big browser for the Mac folks. I'm sure you can look at your awstats to see if it'd be worth it to try to fix that or not. The site is still navigatible (is that a word?) just fine. Also the image in the welcome guest box doesn't work (that shows up in the firebird screenshot too).
MikeJ
Also, one more thing... assume a visitor to your site knows nothing about your product. I don't see any mention anywhere on your site that this is PHP for example (I had to download it to see). Maybe put up some requirements (requires PHP, mysql, etc...). Would be helpful to better understand what your software is.
kussie
hhmm whoops i had that on there before i rewote the info page. Better re add it thanks fo the heads up Big Gorilla. The bar is meant to go over that far Bruce so that no biggie. HHmmm i'll have to look into those other issues though
