[=hris
Hi, I have just bought a domain from TCH, and am waiting for it to get through all the dns's so i can buy webhosting from TCH, however in the mean time, i need to get ports opened in my university firewall. Another site i manage uses port 2082 for cpanel, do TCH's cpanel's use port 2082, or any other ports? Thanks
TCH-Don
Yes, that is correct, port 2082. Although most people behind a corporate firewall are not able to connect to port 2082, if you are currently able to, there should be no problem. Oh yes, Welcome to the Family and your new home! We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help Edited January 25, 2004 by TCH-Don
[=hris
Thanks! As long as i know the port number i can tell our systems services guys to open that port up And thanks for the welcome - cant wait until the dns servers get updated so i can register for hosting... *twiddles thumbs, and presses refresh on whois*
TCH-Rick
You might also want him to open port 2083 so that you can access Cpanel using SSL. Just use https://domain.com:2083 to access the CPanel.
