Problem With Mysql

I am trying to install the Nucleus blogging system at my website and during the install sequence the following error message occurs when the program attempts to create a database:

 

Error message was: "Could not create database. Make sure you have the rights to do so. SQL error was: Access denied for user: 'mrsimmo@localhost' to database 'nucleus'";

 

Can you help?

have you created the database in cpanel, and set up a user / password?

I just went to Cpanel and created a database named "nucleus" but there was no place to set up a user/password. I then tried my install again and got this error message:

 

Error message was: "Could not connect to mySQL server: Access denied for user: 'dsimmo@localhost' (Using password: YES)";

you'll also need to grant the db user access to the database.

charle97 beat me to it. But just to add to that, I'm not sure how you configure Nucleus but whether it is a web based config or you have to edit the config manually make sure the database name and username are formatted correctly

 

dbase name should be cpanelname_dbasename

username should be cpanelname_dbaseusername
