tamara719
I hired someone to build a website for me however after months he produced crap. Thus my retail season is now shot. I have my son striving to build a site using Dreamweaver however the background is not uploading? What are we doing wrong? Is there an easier way to build a site? I need the full EC gizmos however cannot afford to pay for yet another site to be built until I can get my money back from the other person (and I will)? I know HTML however that is very lengthy. Should I just purchase a template and build upon that? We have MS Front Page however that is a let down too as far as what I want to do. Help! I'm losing it fast. natimage
Triple check the filename of your background image. It is case sensitive. Make sure it is in the correct directory, as well. I know these things are simple, but I've spent much time trying to solve simple problems!!! If you know those things are correct and the site is published, give us the domain and I bet someone could figure it out.
Deverill
Another common problem: If you are using the "tracing" feature of Dreamweaver you must remember that the faded background is only for layout purposes - it is not meant to show on your finished site. You'll need to create a graphics image for the background and put that in the HTML code for the body as in: ><body background="/images/jims.gif">
SEO
... give us the domain and I bet someone could figure it out. Much easier for us to troubleshoot if we can 'see' it
