I'm desperate with emails such as "STOP PAYING", "FINANCIAL Independence" and so on, but I do not understand at all the instructions on the Cpanel 6 Mail Menu, so could anyone please explain to a 6 year old boy how to ban "subjects"?

I don't want to ban addresses because they change all the time, I just want to ban "SUBJECTS". But I can't understand the instructions to set up certain subjects as spam.

Many many thanks

Click on E-Mail Filtering

Click on Add Filter

Select first Drop down option: Subject

Select second Drop down option: contains

Type in the next field: stop pay

Leave default destination: Discard

Click Activate

Click Go Back

Change the subject of the test e-mail to something like "You can stop paying high interest"

Then click Test Filter

You should receive verification that the filter condition was TRUE. That means that it discarded the message.

Like:

Filter Trace Results:

Condition is true: $header_subject: contains stop pay

Return-path copied from sender

My advice is to be very careful with the wording that you choose to enter in the field for your filter. If that text appears anywhere in the subject of any email, it will discard it. I certainly wouldn't use a filter containing the word funny for example. I get plenty of mail from my sister that she claims is funny. While I don't think they are necessarily, :D, I still don't want to lose the mail. See?

Any other questions, just ask.

I think the filters are case sensitive, which is sorta a pain.

Granted, it is not nearly so much of a pain as the attempts at avoiding word filters, a la vi.ag.r.a or v1agra. etc.
