Dear All,

First of all, please let me know if there is a better forum for my question...

I recently purchased hosting for a full year and it all works perfectly. Unfortunately, for person reasons, I am going to have to register a new domain name to replace the old one and then abandon the old one. Can I do this with an existing TCH account?

I haven't registered the new domain name yet - I'm still trying to figure out what it will be - but is this possible or do I need to buy a whole new account for the new name? If so, would it be possible to close the old account and transfer any remaining credit to the new one? I intend to keep the old domain name and just point it to a holding page elsewhere.

Thank you very much for any help you can give me in this matter,

Richard Cook.

Yes, there should be no problem in getting this done. Once you have registered the new name, just open up a help desk ticket and we'll do the ol' switch-a-roo on the server for you. :)

If you wanted to, I guess you could go ahead and cancel the older plan, then sign up for a new account. I'd say the easiest way around the problem though would be to just get the domain name replaced on your current plan. (unless you were wanting to get a bigger package, or a reseller or dedicated versus a regular account.)

Hi,Maybe you could create a subdomain featuring your new site name saving you some hassle and a few bucks!!!
