lizzyS Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I went to edit privileges for various users of my databases and I discovered that this is turned off in the mysql I am getting. Is there anyway for me to do this? I realize that I don't have a root password like on my development database, but I would still like to be able to control selects, inserts and deletes on a per table, per user bases. Any suggestions? Thanks Liz Sommers liz@gorb.org Quote
DarqFlare Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Ooooh... Heh. I don't believe TCH has anything in place for that, save for being able to assign users to different databases. [awaits word from the man himself, BILL KISH!] Quote
TCH-JimE Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Hi, Sorry to say this is not possible Jim Quote
DarqFlare Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Well, I suppose word from Jim is good too! Quote
Wilexa Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 I bet you could do it if you upgraded to a dedicated server! Early on in my TCH experience, I too wanted to do user privilege management, but I have accepted the current realities. ...dave Quote
