murasaki Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Starting 2022.01.26, simple email with a PDF attachment that normally got the score of -0.0 points all of sudden started to receive 6.0 points with the following and got tagged as spam: 5.0 BAYES_99 BODY: Bayes spam probability is 99 to 100% [score: 1.0000] 1.0 BAYES_999 BODY: Bayes spam probability is 99.9 to 100% [score: 1.0000] After digging further, the this is not limited to emails received from mail-XX varies XX.outbound.protection.outlook.com, but also Gmail.com and various mail servers. Even a simple hello email from Outlook.com and Gmail.com got the above 6.0 points. This is throwing off my Spam Threshold Scores limit. To live with this new change, do i just have to reconfigure the Calculated Spam Score Settings for BAYES_99? What made this change all of a sudden, how does SpamAssassin learn? Will it change back or make adjustment to the scores automatically? Quote
TCH-Marshal Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Hi, Spam assassin works on set of rules which do learn automatically and adjusts itself according to incoming emails. But since you are having this specific situation we will need to investigate it. Can you either post here details of your account or header of an incoming emails or officially post a ticket for us to investigate this further. Ticket can be opened from https://support.totalchoicehosting.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit Quote
