cherryo Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to enable hotlink protection while still allowing access to submit forms on my site. Currently, when activated, anyone trying to submit my forms gets the following error: You don't have permission to access /_vti_bin/shtml.exe/get_started_custom_website.htm on this server. Thanks for any help. My site has been seriuosly abused by hotlinkers but I can't enable it if my customers can't order. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 I'm no expert on the subject, but I bet you could get around that with .htaccess, I know that isnt much help but there are a few people here on the forums that are great with .htaccess that will more than likely be able to help once they see this post. cherryo Posted September 25, 2003 Author Posted September 25, 2003 Would that be to block just the known IP abusers or can it do anything across the board? It's so hard to know for sure who's abusing and who's not. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Hi, It should be solvable. Try putting in: Http://www.yourdomainname.com/_vti_bin/sht...tom_website.htm as an allowable access point Jim Quote
cherryo Posted September 26, 2003 Author Posted September 26, 2003 Thanks so much. I'll try that today. Quote
