Caz Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 Hi there! Not sure if this is the correct place to be asking about this but there's so many different sections around here I'm a bit lost So anyway, I signed up for hosting yesterday evening approximately 20 hours ago.... received the automatic mailer welcoming me and telling me if I've not paid already to go pay and the Billing dept will be in touch with my account details. As far as I'm aware, I made the payment on sign-up with my credit card. As yet I have not received my account information from the Billing Dept and am a little concerned that there may be a problem.... I may add that I'm only concerned because everything seems to be so efficient around here and it does say on the site that new accounts are normally set up within 12 hours Thanking you in anticipation of your assistance Caz PS the domain name is kissmecaz.co.uk Quote
TCH-Rick Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 Your account has been set up and an email was sent. You should submit a Help Desk ticket at https://ssl.totalchoicehosting.com/supportdesk if you have not received the information and we can resend or recreate the information. Also be sure to look in your Spam folder and see if it may have been diverted there. Quote
Caz Posted September 10, 2003 Author Posted September 10, 2003 Thanks for the reply. I already completed a Help Desk ticket so hopefully I will receive the email this time! Quote
Caz Posted September 11, 2003 Author Posted September 11, 2003 hmmmm still nothing in my mailbox and i cant seem to log in to check the status of my ticket... it's telling me wrong email address or ticket number, but im sure they are both correct. The members of my forum are suffering withdrawal symptoms cos my site's been offline for a few days now, (Problems with previous host!) so I'm getting rather anxious to get things sorted out. Quote
Head Guru Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 I have resent your welcome email to your email account on file with us,and just to make sure I also sent you a private message with your welcome email. Thanks Bill Quote

Caz Posted September 11, 2003 Author Posted September 11, 2003 Thanx for the welcome Turtle! And as you mentioned asking for help..... H E L P!!!!! My logon name and password arent working! *cries* I know you're probably gonna tell me to complete a helpdesk ticket... which I've just done..... so I'll just have to wait some more. Just hasn't been my week at all this week!! Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 I am sure you have tried the obvious, caps lock off, as passwords are case sensitive. Can you tell which is not working? Quote
Caz Posted September 11, 2003 Author Posted September 11, 2003 Yep tried the obvious... and nope can't tell which one isn't being accepted. With the ftp it appears to log me in, but the directory structure where it logs me onto doesn't appear to be correct as there is no html folder, and as soon as I try to change anything, or upload, it gives me a 403 forbidden warning and closes connection. With the cpanel I'm denied access. Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 Lets eliminate some more things, Since you have a new account and may not have propagated yet, 1 -you are trying to log into CP with the IP address http://xx.xxx.xx.xx/cpanel/ (IP in your welcome email)? 2 - and ftp is the IP address with your login name and password ftp directory is public_html ? Quote
Caz Posted September 11, 2003 Author Posted September 11, 2003 Hi again.. thanks for trying to help me out. Yep, my domain has propogated already, but I did also try both the cpanel and ftp with the IP address instead of the domain name just in case.... same result. With the ftp there is no sign of the public_html directory. Quote
Head Guru Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 IM Me I will be around most of the day. Bill Quote
