evanginc Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Wondering how to check my own web site so I don't have to go to tech support. I have four sites at TCH and am very happy to date. Tonight, I notice that one site is slow to come up. I have DSL and it is slow. I'm afraid what a 56K modem is like. Getting my outlook to check email is taking FOREVER. It's timing out every time. Has been like this for awhile tonight. site is my sons boy scout troop. www.troop312.com Any suggestions or pointers? Time has now passed and the site appears to be faster. What causes the SLOW DOWNS? How can I check on problems like this myself? Rock Sign Quote
borfast Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 It's opening up normaly, here and the pings are what I usualy get from TCH's servers. Perhaps it was something temporary or maybe you've caught the server when Alan was performing the kernel upgrades? Quote
TCH-Sales Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Yeah it's under 6 or 7 seconds for me, and I'm on dial up. You might check with your DSL provider to make sure they aren't working on anything as well. Quote
evanginc Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 NEAT THING ABOUT TCH is PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO HELP. THANKS TO ALL. TCH is worth it. Wish I'd come here a couple of years ago for my ministry site. Rock Sign Rock Sign Quote
