Hi,

I have integrated the above script provided by TCH into my website. It used to work before, but now I'm getting the following error(enclosed with the quotes):

""

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@ourwonderfulworld.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.28 Server at www.ourwonderfulworld.net Port 80

Does anyone know as to why this is happening?

Thanks

Because of continued attempts to exploit the formmail script we have disabled it on all servers. You can still use formmail but will need to download it and install it in your cgi-bin directory (or another directory) and edit the settings. There are also other scripts available at hotscripts.com and other sites.

A 404 would suggest that something referencing a file has not got the correct pathway. I do strongly urge you to use the mail script developed here at TotalChoice Web Hosting

Well, if you're referring to the 'cgiemail' script, it doesn't work either. In fact clicking on it inside the cpanel page, gives me the eact same error output as above. Does this problem really have anything to do with some server configuration. Please let me know as I need to get it working.

Thanks

Thanks surefire. I have been reading up on that right after I posted my last message. Hopefully I can get it to work on my website.

You should also check the permissions on your folders. The folder with formmail.pl in it should be set to 755 and not 777. All perl scripts should be run with permissions of 755. You will get that error if you set it to 777. Change the permissions using an ftp program or the File Manager of CPanel.
