Bob Crabb Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 What is the plan for upgrading the TCH servers to PHP 5.3.x? I'm not in any great hurry for this; the reason why I ask is because there are so many features and functions that have become deprecated in 5.3.x, I wonder how much time we have to check everything out before the upgrade. For those of you who are not aware of the details, here is a link to the list of deprecated features and functions: http://php.net/manual/en/migration53.deprecated.php Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Question is better suited for the help desk since it's a server related issue. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Bob, We gave PHP 5.3 a spin a month ago and discovered that there are no Zend Optimizer binaries available for this version of PHP. As far as i know this has not changed, therefore, we have no immediate plans to upgrade to 5.3 and we will advise in advance once we do. Quote
Bob Crabb Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Dick, Thank you for the information. I'll keep watch on the forums for progress and/or notice of upgrade plans. Quote
