I'm trying to get YaBB up and running but keep getting "Internal Server Error". I've made sure everything is in the right folders and the first line of YaBB.pl is #!/usr/bin/perl like it should be. I've made sure TotalChoice uses a version of Perl 5.0 or greater. I've looked at all the help pages here and at the Yabb website but haven't got it working yet. Any help greatly appreciated. I'm 55 years old and used to work as a computer programmer many years ago with FORTRAN but they way things are done these days are completely different.

One of my hobbies is enjoying movies and that is what my website is about. Check out www.mosidevie.com if you get a chance. (I'm hoping the search engine will pick up Mo>ie.com from my descriptions, etc. people will be able to seach for it that way)

I dont use YABB, but I did install it once to see what it was al about, if you dont get an answer soon i'll install it again and maybe i can give ya a hand.

ok i just set up YABB on my site, the config is pretty simple so i'm betting you got that right. One thing that was kind of a pain in the butt is chmoding all those files. First thing i would do is go back thru and make sure all the files are chmoded correctly.

Also, when you uploaded did you upload images in binary and script/code in asci?

OK, after playing around a bit with YABB, I'm not impressed, but maybe i'm spoiled with invision power board and phpbb (both of which are available as one click instals in your cpanel)

Good suggestions and thanks everyone. I should have looked at what was available here before trying to put on YaBB. Tried to put on phpbb but it wasn't a one click thing for me *sigh* I get "Page not found". Got a ticket in about it.

The last host I was on banned the perl version of Yabb for some reason, probably because it was hogging system resources. But yeah, I wouldn't use it when you've got Invision and Phpbb available :)
