talkingplant Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 OK, I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out for weeks. When you type my site into the address bar on some machines my header/menu bar doesn't appear. If you type in the site with a .com/ it works. Any ideas? http://concreteutopia.com vs. http://concreteutopia.com/ I don't have this problem on my home machine, but at work and some friends' houses it happens. I've found that if you dump the cache during reload (shift while reload click) it usually clears itself up. Thanks for any input. Quote

TCH-JimE Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Odd. Do you call the menu in via an include or is it attached to some javascript in any way? Jim Quote
btrfld Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 I'm using Mozilla Firebird on Win98. Both links look exactly the same. Quote

TCH-JimE Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 Hi, Intrestingly, it shouldn't be a problem. However XHMTL might fall apart on lower browsers. Best thing to do is to do a few test pages, one in normal HTML, one in normal HTML and without CSS. It could just be a corruption in there browser too. If you can find a machine on that it faults all the time, access the computer and make it fail, then open up your cpanel and take a look at the error log and see what it says Jim Quote
