Just sign on with TCH and waiting anxiously for my account to be activated. Actually, it'd be good to have a status update on the progress of the account activation......(though the faq mentioned that its between 1-6 hours)..

Hi Dennis

first

Dance Welcome to the family Dance

and your new home.

The first welcome email with the info to use your account can take a while.

sometimes it takes less than an hour, and sometimes a few hours.

it will depend first on how long it takes your payment to go through you credit card company to TCH, and only then can TCH set it up.

For me it took 6 hours, but then I signed up on a Sunday night, so that was very good!

I say welcome to the family, because as you may have read here,

we are just like family, helping each other.

If you need any help just post in what ever forum seems right for the question.

They also have a great search feature for this forum, with lots of great answers.

You are going to love it here. Thumbs Up

Yeah, I sure would love it here. Been with a few hosting company and TCH has one of the best packages around (beating my old hosting with 300mb of space and 9 gig of bandwidth for a lower price as well!)

And from what I see from the response of the support, I dare say that I would stay here for a long time. Matter of fact, I am developing a site for a SME and would setup their hosting here as well ;)

Btw, received the credit card processing company's receipt bout an hour ago, bout after 1.5 hours after I've signed up...thus it seems that the cc company is holding up TCH a bit in this area....hope they can improve on this aspect.

Dance Yea! Dance

bad news domains transfer will work for everyone else first,

then you get to see it.

Just kidding, but it was that way for me.

I saw my site change at work 2 hours after I changed the DNS

It took me three days for me to see it at home.

good luck, and have fun ;)

Hmmm....my registrar has captured and updated my domain's record with TCH's nameserver, but think the propagation is not done yet, and as such...it is still pointing to my old host and for my mail as well.

Correctly me if I am wrong, but do we need to change any other info beside the nameserver in my registrar record? (eg, ip etc,) or do the ns1......etc suffice and then its all down to the waiting for the propagation to be completed?

Nothing else needs to be changed...Propagation can take 24-48 hours and I've seen it take as long as 72 hours for certain ISP's to update their DNS references. So, now it is "Hurry up and Wait" time!

Be patient...

What is your domain name and how would we tell which host is showing? I ask becuase sometimes it makes me feel better to know that at least some body is seeing the new hosted site after a change. We can check it to let you know (but we have to know how to tell the difference in the sites).
