Guest steveoregon Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 My domain name is registered privately through godaddy. I will be hosting it here. Can I assume it would be very difficult for anyone to find out who is behind my website? I'm not worried about anyone hacking the info on godaddy, because it should be pretty well guarded by their affiliate domainsbyproxy (that actually has access to my personal info). But I also want to feel safe that no one can get that info here. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 Steve, You should have no worries about that. I have never had any issues here with privacy. Come on in, the waters fine. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 Steve, All information given too us is stored under correct guidelines as set out in the law. What this does mean is whilst the normal tom, dick and harry won't be able to know who is behind the site, if asked by a law enforcement agency (but not restriced to law enforcement) then under law, we would have to supply the information. This will be the same whereever you go, and even your godaddy people will be under the same rules and regs. In other words, unless you break the law, your information is secure with us! Jim Quote
