boxturt Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I was just checking AwStats and according to the browsers data I see I have some new visitors: MSIE 9.03 and MSIE 7.0 Anybody? Quote
TCH-JimE Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Hi, Hmm, not heard of them, but its possible to spoof the MSIE number if your using some grabbing programs. Jim Quote
boxturt Posted July 24, 2003 Author Posted July 24, 2003 Doesn't "indicate" grabber in stats (means nothing) but between the 2 of them it only amounted to about 7 hits. Can I deny that with RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} like all the other infernal beasts? Quote
TCH-JimE Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Hi, I dont know about Rewrite for it. Some grabbers spoof themselves so you wont see it as a grabber. A quick google shows: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows MAX; FullPatchVer.) Mozilla/6.1 (compatible; MSIE 7.0a; Windows Whistler2K2 alpha) This may explain some things Jim Quote
boxturt Posted July 24, 2003 Author Posted July 24, 2003 Thanks Jim. I'll do some more digging (where's the little headbanger smiley?) Quote
