mbakshi Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 (edited) Hi everyone, I need to set up the EPrints software (http://www.eprints.org) on my site -- basically it's a pretty solid, free digital repository system. The issue is that it's all in Perl, and I haven't really worked with Perl before, so I'm not sure how to go about installing it on my account. They have an install docs wiki (http://wiki.eprints.org/w/Documentation), but I didn't quite understand how I could run the installation and config scripts without having command line access to the server? GvilleRick Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 From looking at the installation instructions it appears that the script requires customized server configurations. I do not think that it would be possible on a shared server. You would likely need a dedicated server to run the program. Quote
