Spam Attack!

anyways yeah, every day my blog is getting spam offering "webcam" services and the usual "naughty"

stuff. all in comments

in a rage i've emailed back offensive words but they dont get through

anyways how can i stop them, i've put all comments on moderation instead of instant show.

thats a start. but having to clear them is a pain.

it may be keyword based i wrote a blog about the heat wave "hot days, hotter nights" and mr spam must think its a cheap 70's adult movie

 

any suggestions on how to kill the spam?

Do you have Spam Karma installed. If not install it.

I"ll second the Spam Karma suggestion. Spam Karma has killed more than 4000 spams in my blog. And I haven't had to do anything. It just takes care fo them. It's wonderful!!!!

it hasnt "netted" any, but maybe thats cause ive set it up to just ignore most things.

 

by the wa what is CAPTCHA? i helpo= manage a\ forum on behalf of staff for a major worldwide company the support team say captcha is enabled, also spam karma says about it what is it?

i was thinking it was liek a verofication code, but im unsure

WOW!!! Spam Karma really works well. TCH-Bruce suggested it to me in another Wordpress thread, and I installed it yesterday morning. So far, 9 spams and counting.
