FilmBuffRich Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 This past week, I went through the process of changing my URL registration from one registrar to another. (Mainly a financial move) It transfer was approved yesterday and I updated the A record with the new registrar. The change seems to have propogated, but when I try to get to the site's subdomain, I get a "The page cannot be displayed" error. Any thoughts? Quote
GvilleRick Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Rather than change the A record you should set the nameservers to the TCH nameservers so that subdomains set up in the cPanel will work correctly. If you want to use external DNS services from the registrar you would also need to set an A record for the subdomain to the same IP address as the main domain. Quote
FilmBuffRich Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 OK, how do I find the TCH nameservers that my site is on? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 The nameservers are in your welcome email. If this is for filmbuffonline.com they are: NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM Quote
FilmBuffRich Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 That's what I needed! Thanks folks!!! Quote
