I'm not sure if this is a CSS issue or an issue with my markup, but I'm inclined to think that it's a markup problem since everything is fine on most other pages.

The sidebar on the category and monthly archives pages of my blog seems to position itself along the same point as the title of whichever entry appears at the bottom of the page -- it's supposed to float at the top, as it does on the index.

I've trolled through my templates and CSS, but came up blank. My eyes are starting to cross at this point, so all fresh pairs of eyes are appreciated. :surrender:

I figured that I'd drive someone else crazy with this round of them. My eyes are about to disintegrate in their sockets.

Let's just break it down real simple-like.

This one works:

><div id="top"></div>

<div id="container">

<div class="blogposts">
	blog entry
</div>

<div class="side">
	<div class="sideblock">
		your menu stuff
	</div>

	<div class="smallcopy">
		your copyright stuff
	</div>

</div>

<br style="clear:both" />

</div>

This one doesn't:

><div id="top"></div>

<div id="container">

<div class="blogposts">
	blog post content
</div>

<div class="side">
	<div class="sideblock">
		your menu stuff
	</div>
</div>

<br style="clear:both" />

<div class="bottom">
	<div class="smallcopy">
		your copyright stuff
	</div>
</div>

</div>

At least I'm pretty sure that's the right order. They're different anyway.

I managed to fix the issue by using the index template, since that one worked, and just inserting the category and monthly archive's bits and pieces into it.

Thanks for looking, though. : )

Nah, the entire layout actually breaks to a worse degree without that. Thanks, though! :blush:
