TCH-Tim Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Welcome to the forums shinyo21. If you can't browse the Internet, how did you post this message? Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Welcome to the forums shinyo21 You should check with your ISP or network admin. Quote
shinyo21 Posted June 4, 2006 Author Posted June 4, 2006 Hi , I can post this message because I use another laptop to connect to the internet and search for help. I sure my ISP now problem because the laptop I using now is the same connection I used. Anyone know why my pc cannot browse internet , I tried to use firefox but still same problem. I can't even use my messenger ...... is there any place i can see my network setting register correct or not ? Quote
chatbug Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Welcome to the forums, shinyo21. I would be thinking that you have a problem with the PC, rather than the ISP, if you can connect to the internet using the same connection on a laptop. In Windows, you would be able to find some network things to configure under "Settings" >> "Network Connections". Quote
stevevan Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Welcome to the forums! I would suggest you have your laptop side-by-side with your desktop and, following chatbug's suggestions, compare settings on both systems. Since you said the laptop works, make the desktop settings the same as the laptop. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Welcome to the forums? I would disable norton and then reboot and see what happens. If no luck, remove the drivers for the network card, reboot and let XP reinstall it. Then plug it back in (with still norton turned off) and see what happens JimE Quote
