Smf Installed With Fantastico

I installed Simple Machines with Fantastico and it created the MySQL database with user "mfxnjunn_smf1" but I have no idea what this users password is. Does anyone know what this would be. I need it to a conversion from IPB to SMF.

Didn't the installer ask you for a password? Normally they do. And it also usually emails you the information of the user/password.

That info is for the admin of the board, I think that the conversion program wants the MySQL user password. Is there any way to find out what the pssword is for the MySQL users in cPanel??

You could use phpAdmin to change the password but I don't think you can see the password.

You can also check any congfig files and see if it is there. Or you can add a new user with a new password and add it to the database.

Thanks for the ideas but I can't seem to see any way to set a new pasword in phpadmin, and I have a user that I know the password for and that does not work. I am going to SMF forum to see if someone there can help.

Hello Lee,

 

If you access your cpanel, and then go to file manager. Use this to navigate to the folder containing SMF. I believe the file your looking for is settings.php

 

Open this and scroll down to database info, this is where it shall be contained.
