rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Hello, Previously I had changed my MX entries to point to my runbox.com account. I would like to change them back to their default for my tch server, but under the new cpanel I cannot find where the option is. Thanks, Rich Quote
chatbug Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I think you would need to submit a helpdesk support ticket, and they'll be able to help you. (You can also wait and see if anyone more knowledgeable than me have any other better ideas... ) Quote
rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Yep, the helpdesk is the way to go. Thanks. I'd prefer to do it myself, if possible. Is the option gone altogether? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 In the new X theme, select the Mail icon. At the bottom of the page that appears select Modify Mail Exchanger (MX Entry) Hope that helps. Quote
rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Thanks Bruce. I do not have that option under my mail menu. This, I suppose, I will have to submit a ticket for. Thanks Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Yes, if the option is not listed you will have to contact the help desk. Quote
rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Actually, I could also try the hard coded URL, if someone would be so inclined to provide it http://www.&&&&&&&&&&.com:2082/frontend/x/mail/?????.html Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Please just open the ticket. It doesn't cost anything. Quote
rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 (edited) I found the hardcoded URL anyways. Opening a ticket is the easy way out! Edited May 9, 2006 by rgeary Quote
rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Bruce, Server 36...I found the URL, but it wouldn't let me do anything since the option was disabled. I did submit a ticket and it is now enabled again. Thanks for your help. Quote
abinidi Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Glad you solved your problem. Don't be afraid to contact the help desk, however. They really are nice people. And you are paying them for their help (through your monthly hosting fees). BTW, We haven't seen you in the forums since December, and I'm not sure you got a proper welcome even back then. So welcome (back) to the forums! Don't be a stranger! Quote
rgeary Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Thanks, No offense of course, but I just like to figure things out for myself. It's a hacker mentality (without the hacking ) I don't need to help desk to modify my MX entry. I can do that myself. I was just looking for some help on finding WHERE to do that, since the theme has upgraded, lol. Now, can I just get ssh access? lol Thanks again. Quote
TCH-Tim Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 hacker mentality Now, can I just get ssh access? lol lol...no. Not on a shared server anyway. On a dedicated server sure no problem. Quote
Deverill Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Don't forget also that since you are on a shared server that a problem you may enjoy banging your head against might be causing another to give up on this "whole internet thing". By reporting it you may be fixing a problem for another who may not even know how to ask for help. Quote
