noeffort Posted June 21, 2003 Posted June 21, 2003 Hi, Any way I can get only one email that is passed to my email account. Only want a@domain.com. Not b@domain.com, c@domain.com going thru. Has on my previous host but can't find the file. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted June 21, 2003 Posted June 21, 2003 In Cpanel, you can set one email address a@domain.com and anything else to "blackhole", so that anything not sent to a@domain.com will be got rid of. If I understand your question correctly. Andy Quote
noeffort Posted June 22, 2003 Author Posted June 22, 2003 Went to cpanel. Confusing on how to set default email address. Clicked on link to set default email address: change default address Send all unrouted mail for **** to: whatever Change I want to set default email to z@**** and all other email to be bounced. How do you set so you only get mail to z@maydomain.com and all other email to be bounced. Don't see how I can do it. Quote
noeffort Posted June 22, 2003 Author Posted June 22, 2003 Believe I found how to it. Have to create email account for and then direct all other mail to be bounced. Quote
leezard Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 If you only want to have one e-mail address z@**** first create that account, then go to the default address section of control panel. Click on set default address and you'll get a screen like I attched below. If you dont have any subomains set up the only chioce you will have in the first box is your domain name. In the next box type in :fail: and then click change. This will make any e-mail not sent to z@**** to bounce back to the sender, if you decide to add e-mail accounts you wont have to change anything here because it only affects unrouted mail. Example z@**** is the only e-mail address you have created, I send an e-mail to x@**** and it will get bounced back to me. Quote
TCH-Sales Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 Good job leezard in getting that all explained! Quote
