Last week I started the process to transfer my domain name (osbornz.net) from my old host (doteasy.com) to TCH - and had a few questions.

1) I gave the old host the name servers that were provided in my welcome letter. But when I view my information at WHOIS, I see it is pointed to park(something).secureserver.net Is there something I need to do to fix this?

2) I received notice over the weekend that the transfer was complete, but I can't FTP to my account...am I simply being too impatient and need to give it more time?

Thanks!

Amy

Yey!, but do you really mean domain name or just changing where it points to (our namerservers)

1)  I gave the old host the name servers that were provided in my welcome letter.  But when I view my information at WHOIS, I see it is pointed to park(something).secureserver.net  Is there something I need to do to fix this?
Wait for 72hrs but check with your current domain providers that they have changed your nameservers. Most make you do it yourself

I received notice over the weekend that the transfer was complete, but I can't FTP to my account...am I simply being too impatient and need to give it more time?
Most possibly yes. Give it upto 72hrs, however you should be able to FTP in using the IP address or server details provided in your welcome email.

Any further questions, let us know!

If you were hosted elswhere before you arent now. Your domain is parked. I dont know what your settings were for doteasy but that isnt it.

Log in here and make sure your domain name servers are pointed to the ones provided in the welcome letter you got.

To get there after you log in select domain names, put a check in the box next to your domain name and click the second link in the bar above that mentions DNS or name servers. Compare these names with those given to you in your welcome letter.

If they are the same then it is just a matter of time and you will start working.
