mickey Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Sorry if this isn't the place to ask this but.... I've in stalled WordPress manually. I've worked with wordpress before so i know how to add plugin's and such. I'm having trouble with a plugin for spell checking. I've been to the site where I downloaded it from and look for help there. It says one of the requirements is having aspell Unix executable available. Is there something in my cpanel that I need to change? Here is the error I'm getting Sorry to ramble...lol. I do that often..lol Thanks in advance for any help! Mickey Quote

Head Guru Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 We tried aspell for a few days. It is just a memory hog, that is the bottom line. Several times we saw it eat 1GB to 2GB of ram. So it was decided to remove it from the servers. Sorry. Quote
abinidi Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Don't try to use the Google Toolbar's spell checker with Wordpress 2. It doesn't work at all for me... Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I use ieSpell add-on for Internet Explorer and the Spellbound extension for Firefox. Both work great. Quote
