Unzipping

How do I unzip a file on the server, never done this before, so am not sure how to do it..

Good question... my pattern has always been to download the file to my local computer, and then unzip it, checking to be sure for any type of virus... and then when I am satisfied, upload the unzipped content to the desired folder on my web site.

If you upload the zipped file, then go into the"file manager" within cpanel, click on the file, and there should be an "unzip" option on the right hand side.
