Mav2u Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 Okay, I put PHPNuke 6.5 on the server and it works good, the admin logs in fine, the regular pages display with now problem. But when I add users or users try to add themselves they cannot login. It just gives incorrect login, I've even tried setting up predefined accounts and still get the error. Maybe I missed something in the setup or something I don't know. That seems to be the only issue with the script. Any clues people? Mav Quote
leezard Posted May 29, 2003 Posted May 29, 2003 Look in your admin section under edit members (there may or may not be a section called edit members, i dont remember if this was an add on I used or not) Anyway, I had a problem with new members signing up and their accounts being suspended, thats why I stopped having them register on the site and made my forums seperate. I had to manually unsuspend every new member. Quote
Mav2u Posted May 29, 2003 Author Posted May 29, 2003 I think I figured it out, apparently I was using test names to sign up. Apparently you cannot use the same password again for any other user and still login in. Yet it tells you know where about this, nor does it notify you that you cannot do this. Anyone know of a addon to control the login and permissions of the members in PHPNuke? I would like a better way to control permissions within the site. Like the controls you get in the forums for Invision board and PHPbb forums. Being able to make groups that only can see these pages or pictures or downloads ect..... I would like to hear all options or fixes, Thanks, Mav Quote
