Can Hotlinking Protection Be Disabled?

Hi all,

I just found out today that my web host is going out of business in six weeks (*sob*), so I have to find another hosting company quick.

My web host had disabled hotlinking protection for me because there seemed to be some sort of bug in cPanel that made their hotlinking protection incompatible with my homegrown .htaccess. I don't know if the bug is still there or not, but if I switch my site to TCH and find out that I need to have the cPanel hotlinking disabled, would you be able to do that for me?

Welcome to the forus, vinyl-junkie.

I think that six months from now you may find that having your old host go out of business turned out to be a good thing for you! I mean, if you join us at TCH, you'll find the best prices for the service in the business.

I've also had other hosts, and none have been anywhere near the quality of servers, quality of service, and quality of help desk as I've had at TCH.

I wouldn't host anywhere else.

So here's hopeing that you join the TCH family!
