woodygap Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Well, I went the lazy route again and tried to upgrade an AG install through C-Panel. Looked simple enough but now get these errors when calling the page. >Warning: main(./extension.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 25 Warning: main(./extension.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 25 Warning: main(): Failed opening './extension.inc' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 25 Warning: main(./common.): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 26 Warning: main(./common.): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 26 Warning: main(): Failed opening './common.' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 26 I did back up the data base if I need to do a re-install. It's a small guestbook for my daughters softball team. Any ideas appreciated. Mike Quote
carbonize Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 cPanel have seriously messed up their latest installers. Had nothing but people with problems installing/updating the Advanced Guestbook. This is why I always recommend installing/pgrading scripts yourself. Which advanced guestbook was it? Quote
woodygap Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 I was trying to upgrade from 2.3.1 to 2.3.3 My end intentions were to switch from AG to Lazarus and thought I would need to be running the most stable version of AG. If there is a way to use my existing database and switch to Lazarus that would work the best. Thanks for your time. Mike Quote
carbonize Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 (edited) The install.php file for Lazarus has three options when you run it 1 - Do a complete install 2 - Upgrade Advanced Guestbook 2.3.x to Lazarus 3 - Lazarus to Lazarus update. Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1, 2.3.2 and 2.3.3 all use the exact same database the only changes were to the codebase. Edited August 22, 2005 by carbonize Quote
woodygap Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 Thanks Carbonize, I'll work on that now. Quote
Pocketman Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I've experienced the same "Warning" messages after upgrading Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 to 2.3.3. It appears the $phpbb_root_path is not being set correctly in the index.php. Is there any advice on this before I go in and try to correct the path myself? Quote
carbonize Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 (edited) Visit http://proxy2.de and download Advanced Guestbook 2.3.3 from there and then simply replace ALL your files EXCEPT admin/config.inc.php. Or download Lazarus Edited August 24, 2005 by carbonize Quote
