Well, I went the lazy route again and tried to upgrade an AG install through C-Panel. Looked simple enough but now get these errors when calling the page.

>Warning: main(./extension.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nstornad/public_html/guestbook/index.php on line 25

I did back up the data base if I need to do a re-install. It's a small guestbook for my daughters softball team. Any ideas appreciated.

cPanel have seriously messed up their latest installers. Had nothing but people with problems installing/updating the Advanced Guestbook. This is why I always recommend installing/pgrading scripts yourself.

Which advanced guestbook was it?

I was trying to upgrade from 2.3.1 to 2.3.3

My end intentions were to switch from AG to Lazarus and thought I would need to be running the most stable version of AG. If there is a way to use my existing database and switch to Lazarus that would work the best. Thanks for your time.

The install.php file for Lazarus has three options when you run it

1 - Do a complete install

2 - Upgrade Advanced Guestbook 2.3.x to Lazarus

3 - Lazarus to Lazarus update.

Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1, 2.3.2 and 2.3.3 all use the exact same database the only changes were to the codebase.

I've experienced the same "Warning" messages after upgrading Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 to 2.3.3. It appears the $phpbb_root_path is not being set correctly in the index.php. Is there any advice on this before I go in and try to correct the path myself? :)
