Johnny Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Thank you all for your answers with my original Help! thread. Ok I registered my domain. Signed up for hosting with total choice. Figured out(sorta) how to set up some e-mail accounts- I can send and receive. On a recommendation I purchased sitespinner, and must admit it seems easy. Now I have designed a under construction page, I publish it and enter in mysite info and go there and nothing. Is there something somewhere I have to turn on? Have I provided enough information? Thanks! Quote
TCH-Rick Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 It would help to have a domain. The most common problem in not seeing your site is publishing to the wrong folder. You should put all files you want visible in the public_html folder. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Along with putting it in public_html it must also be named index.html or index.htm Quote
Johnny Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 This is the reprot I get. When I go to my site I can't find it. Tell me if I should edit and delete that please. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Since I know nothing of that program I don't know how to tell you to set it up for publishing but you are putting your content below the public_html folder into a folder called images. The index.html file needs to be in the public_html folder. Quote
Johnny Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 alright so now if I click the images folder i get the image i want...how do I make it so that that's the image you get if you type in our address? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 I told you the content has to be in the public_html folder and not the images folder. Quote

I see you have your construction page up so it looks like you are making progress. Quote
