TCH-JimE Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 Hi, I now host not only my website with you (*****) (http://66.246.35.30/~bugman/) but also my domain name too (simpledomain) (www.bugmansbrewery.com) Now when I goto www.bugmansbrewery.com it then places http://66.246.35.30/~bugman/ in the URL line. A) Why? B ) I want it to say www.bugmansbrewery.com C) How can i say if i goto a page within the site, can it be www.bugmansbrewery.com/news/page.html C) If I use subdomains on *****, how can I make sure it stays at forum.bugmansbrewery.com and not go to some strange URL? E.g. I don't mind the http://forums.*****/index.p...st&CODE=00&f=22 but I don't want http://server5.*****/~bugma...de=newtopic&f=6 D) I want my forum to be at either www.bugmansbrewery.com/forum/ or forum.bugmansbrewery.com not http://server5.*****/~bugman/forum/ How is this possible please? Connecting through the JANUS network for universitys mean that theoreciatally I could commondere the entire 1 gigabit switch in the server room but that might annoy the students I'll guess I'll just have to wait a few days Jim Quote
